Spent the week in Center Parcs in Suffolk. (26th July - 2nd August 2010) Liz came with us this year. Which was already exciting. And we left my poor but strange friend Becky at home. Within our first day there, we had already met new people.
But then, we met Joel and Tom. And we were quickly challenged to a game of pool. Which of course we won!
It was an interesting game. Which started with one of our yellow pool balls to be potted before they were put in the triangley thing. Which gave us the lead right from the beginning. After that, we had to leave. But we were sure we'd see them again sometime soon.
The day after that, we saw them in the swimming pool. Tom was telling us about how they had closed the rapids. It was strange how we kept bumping into them in a short space of time.
We carried on hanging out with the boys we had met on the first day. But we soon realised how immature they really were, by making silly comments. Throughout the week we had been followed by the boys friends. And Liz and I were starting to have enough of this. Joel and Tom quickly realised what they were doing!
Other than being followed, we began to relax and really enjoy our few days away.
By the time we had started to settle, Thursday was around the corner quickly. We spent Thursday night with Joel and Tom playing pool table again. And we beat them yet again! It was shocking. Liz and I never thought we were that good at pool. I suppose it was just luck in a way. Joel and Tom were pretty good at pool table. I don't think it was just us that was shocked about the outcome of the games of pool we had played.
It was getting late, and we had to head up to the bar too meet everyone else. It was time to swap numbers and say bye. That was it. There time in Center Parcs was coming to a quickening but difficult close.
And now, a friendship has been made. Which will never be forgotten!
